Where is the woman who blue-ticked Mapimpi’s DMs? Springbok winger Makazole Mapimpi’s Rugby World Cup is in doubt after he sustained a facial injury in Sunday night’s 49-18 win over Tonga in Marseille.

It came as no surprise that South Africans were amused by the woman’s poor excuse to get Mapimpi’s attention.

The woman is still active on social media via her TikTok account. According to her account, she works in a popular retail store and is an aspiring make-up artist.

In a screenshot that did the rounds on social media, Mapimpi was seen trying to chat up the Voyolwethu in her DMs. The messages went unread.

Fast forward to his 2019 fame, and the woman suddenly decided to strike up a conversation. Hilariously, Vuyolwethu blamed a faulty network for her silence.
