Pirates to Extend Dzvukamanja’s Contract

Orlando Pirates are set to extend the contract of striker Terrence Dzvukamanja, according to a source within the club.
Dzvukamanja was initially rumored to be leaving the club this season, but his recent return to form has prompted a change of heart from the technical team and management.
The Zimbabwean international has been in fine goal-scoring form for Pirates in recent months, impressing head coach Jose Riveiro with his work rate.
“Terrence’s contract is about to be extended. He has worked extremely hard to get to where he is now. His performances have improved significantly, and he has become a different player. Initially, things didn’t go well for him, which led to some criticism from fans. But now, things have changed. He has won over the supporters and is highly regarded,” revealed the source.

“With the Champions League coming up next season, the coach needs players who can deliver. Coach Jose has a lot of faith in him and believes in what he can bring to the club. The negotiations have been ongoing for a while, considering various factors. But now, it’s confirmed that he will stay. It’s not about doing him a favor; he has earned his place through hard work.”
Dzvukamanja joined Orlando Pirates in 2020 after leaving Bidvest Wits. Despite facing injury setbacks and struggling to secure a regular starting spot in the past, the forward has shown great progress this season, scoring crucial goals for the team.
Coach Jose Riveiro has been impressed with the striker’s development and considers him one of the top players in the squad.
