‘Sleep with one eye open’: Reeva’s fam to Oscar Pistorius girlfriend. Reeva Steenkamp’s family have issued a ‘warning’ to Oscar Pistorius’s new rumoured girlfriend, Rita Greyling.

Reeva Steenkamp’s mother, June, has issued a stern warning to Oscar Pistorius’s new alleged girlfriend, Rita Greyling.

According to reports over the weekend, the former Paralympian has been dating the lookalike woman following his release on parole in January.

On Valentine’s Day, 2013, Oscar shot and killed Reeva in his Pretoria mansion after allegedly mistaking her for a home intruder.

However, friends and family of the late Reeva believe she was attempting to break up with Oscar, who has been accused of being abusive, controlling, and jealous during their short-lived relationship.

REEVA STEENKAMP’S MOTHER ADDRESSES NEW WOMAN

Speaking to The Sun, June Steenkamp – who strongly opposed Oscar Pistorius’s parole release – issued a warning to Rita Greyling.

She said: “I don’t understand how she doesn’t see a red flag about him because he has not lost his temper problem.

“He was supposed to be under anger management when he was in jail, and at one stage, I stopped him coming out because I was annoyed that he wasn’t having treatment.

She added: “He was angry – and he still has a problem with anger.

“He’s still a danger to women. Reeva only knew him for three months, and she was dead, and he’s never confessed.”

Reeva’s sister Simone shared similar concerns. Speaking to MailOnline, she said: “This new woman knows a judge found him guilty of murder, which means she must know that he has been found capable of doing that to a woman, but she sleeps with him?

She added: “I have nothing against her but will warn her to sleep with one eye open. He has inside him the potential to do again what he did to Reeva, and I don’t want that ever repeated”.

OSCAR PISTORIUS ‘HAS SHOWN NO REMORSE’

Last year, Reeva Steenkamp’s mother, June, claimed that Oscar Pistorius had “shown no remorse” following her daughter’s 2013 murder.

She also claims that the former athlete “refused” to see her when she attempted to confront him over what transpired over a decade ago.

Speaking on Australia’s Insights reality series Seeking Justice, about his release in January 2024, June said, “I feel that he is not rehabilitated. His problem is his temper. He might hurt someone else if he comes out.”

June added that Oscar Pistorius had “shown her no remorse” either. On the day of Oscar’s parole hearing [then in March 2023, which was denied], Reeva’s mom claims he “refused” to see her.”

She continued: “He would not come out of his cell. He was supposed to come to talk to me, but he refused”.

When asked what justice would mean to Reeva’s parents, June replied: “A confession.”

She said: “It would help us. That would be justice”.

Sadly, June’s husband – Reeva’s dad, Barry – passed away just months later. According to the family, he died of a “broken heart.”
