Fan-favourite actress Amanda Manku, who recently revealed that she and her husband, Roger Tau, are expecting their first baby together, opens up about her Skeem Saam role.
Manku’s popular character made headlines on social media when doctors informed her and her on-screen husband, Kwaito Seakamela, that her pregnancy was life-threatening.
The actress revealed in an interview with News24 on Thursday, 24 July, that it was difficult for her to pretend she’s not happily pregnant in real life, when her character, Dr Lizzy Seakamela-Thobakgale, was told she should terminate her pregnancy.
Manku shared on her Instagram account earlier this month that she’s pregnant with her second child.
Daily Sun reported on Tuesday, 22 July, that Manku has given birth to her second child. The publication reports that the actress, who was a key witness in her father’s murder trial on Monday, 21 July, was unable to testify because she had just given birth to her baby. The fan-favourite actress shared on her social media that her second baby is an answered prayer after losing her mother and grandmother.
“An answered prayer. An addition to my family. Most people know of the heartbreaking tragedy that happened in my life. The past years being a blur at times, kodwa (but) at the end of it all, God showed me grace,” she wrote.
