The lady explained that she had no transport fare and shared that she had to make a hard decision, which saddened Mzansi Social media users offered her some help until she got back on her feet, and begged her to never go through a similar hardship alone.
South Africans proved their spirit of Ubuntu to a young lady who shared her sad story of how she got to work.
The youngster explained that she had no money to travel to work and exhausted her next best option. On Thursday, she walked from Langa to Observatory on Thursday. People were heartbroken that was the only option she had. The people of Mzansi came together in the comments section and offered the youngster some help.
Sibulele had to walk from the township of Langa to Observatory. She explained that people on the road, including recyclers, hyped her up. The youngster assured everyone that she arrived at work safely and unharmed.
Although people online were happy that Sibulele was okay, they were pained that she had received no help to the point where walking was her only option. Social media users expressed their pain about the situation in a thread of 2.7K comments and offered to help the young lady. Sibulele was grateful that her video reached generous and kindhearted people.
She thanked them for their kind words and explained: “As the only breadwinner, it’s hard for me, I won’t lie. I have no parents who are working or siblings. I cannot rely on my uncles and aunts because they never help out. I only know how to help myself survive. I do ask my friends, but they don’t always have money, and I did not come on this platform to ask, but I am thankful that God pulled through and made you guys have a conscience to help me, and I’m grateful.
