Nandipha Magudumana’s Husband Finally Breaks Silence On Her Affair With Thabo Bester. What was once a fairytale marriage has now been reduced to whispers of betrayal, court cases, and a Netflix special exposing the country’s “Bonnie and Clyde.”

The silence is over. After months of Mzansi speculating, Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s estranged husband, Dr Mkhuseli Magudumana, has finally broken his silence on his wife’s scandalous entanglement with convicted murderer and so-called Facebook rapist, Thabo Bester.

Mkhuseli — who tied the knot with Nandipha in a lavish 2013 wedding — made the bombshell comments during the premiere of Netflix’s jaw-dropping docuseries Beauty and The Bester in September 2025.

“I Don’t Know This Nandipha Magudumana”

The statement where Mkhuseli admitted that the woman splashed across headlines is a stranger to him was released:

“This Nandi, I don’t know. This is not the woman I married. This is not the mother of my children.”

He revealed the last time their children saw their mother was when she dropped them off at school in 2023 — before her life became consumed by Bester’s escape, fraud, and deceit.

The heartbreak was written all over his words as he tried to explain how the once-beloved doctor transformed into someone he no longer recognises.

“Something Got Hold of Her”

Nandipha’s brother, Nkosinathi, also recalled a conversation with Mkhuseli, where the betrayed husband laid bare his disbelief:

“I called Nandipha’s husband and asked, ‘How are you doing? How are the kids doing? How do you feel?’ He said he doesn’t know this Nandipha… Something that he can’t explain got hold of her.”

The haunting words paint a picture of a man left to pick up the pieces, raising their children while watching his wife’s name dragged through the mud of one of South Africa’s biggest scandals.
