Sello Maake KaNcube’s family reportedly failed to finalise lobola. Over the past two years, Sello Maake KaNcube and his partner have been documenting their loving relationship on social media, presenting themselves as an ideal match.

They even went as far as tattooing each other’s names on their wedding fingers as a sign of their dedication.

TROUBLE IN PARADISE FOR SELLO MAAKE KANCUBE

A source close to the duo revealed to the publication that Mbewe’s family waited the whole day for Maake KaNcube’s family, who never arrived. The source adds that the actor is reconsidering his commitment to Mbewe.

“Sello still lives with his ex-wife, daughter, grandchildren and Pearl in the same house. It seems like he is dealing with a lot right now. While he loves Pearl, I think he’s struggling to balance his family and new marriage.”

“Despite nothing going on between him and his ex-wife, their shared history might be adding to the tension.”

The close friend also reveals that the couple had a traditional wedding ceremony in 2021, without the Maake KaNcube having completed paying the lobola as per African custom.

It is understood that Mbewe is a free spirit she did not mind doing things differently.

PEARL MBEWE RESPONDS

Mbewe also told Zimoja that her husband’s delegation arrived late for the lobola payment and were not allowed because according to her culture such things are supposed to be done early in the day.

“I won’t explain myself to anyone. We all do things differently Ntate Sello and his family did come but it was already after 5pm and according to our customs, we don’t accept lobola late.”

Mbewe confirmed to TshisaLIVE in October 2021 that she and Maake KaNcube are married and said she has all the women to thank who have been “chasing around” her and Sello’s relationship.
