Watch as Cyril Ramaphosa does Tyla’s water challenge

Watch as Cyril Ramaphosa does Tyla’s water challenge. Ramaphosa was in a jovial mood in the lead-up to his annual State of the Nation Address speech, so much so that he took to the stage to do the viral Water dance challenge to celebrate Tyla’s Grammy win.
Tyla recently walked away with a Grammy in the category for Best African Music Performance at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards premiere ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old is one in a few artists who won their first Grammys this year. According to Forbes, while some of the musicians who snagged their first Grammys have been around for many years, others only became proper stars recently.
Ramaphosa was one of the first dignitaries to congratulate Tyla for her achievement, when he wrote a lengthy message dedicated to her success on his official Twitter account.
“Woke up to the news of our very own Tyla winning the Best African Music Performance for her song ‘Water’ at the Grammys. She is the youngest African to win such a prestigious award, adding herself to list of eminent South African artists and musicians who have made an indelible mark on the world stage,” wrote Ramaphosa.
“Tyla we congratulate you and we celebrate with you. Your win affirms South Africa’s sustained success in various international fora. Thank you for your authenticity and for flying the flag,” Ramaphosa concluded.
But the Presidents celebrations didn’t stop there. He also video called Tyla personally and then took it a step further by going on stage to perform his own version of the singer’s viral dance challenge.
