Black Coffee Gives Free DJ Lessons to Aspiring DJs.South African DJ and global music icon Black Coffee has won hearts across Mzansi after a video surfaced showing him mentoring a young, visually impaired DJ.

The viral clip, shared by Mnqobi Mdabe, shows Black Coffee coaching his son, Mpilo Ntsika Shoba, also known by his DJ name “Influence.” Mpilo is the son of television presenter Phumeza Mdabe and Mnqobi, and his passion for music has already set him on a promising path in the industry.

In the video, Black Coffee can be seen patiently guiding Mpilo as he spins the decks, playing Black Coffee’s hit track “Deep in the Bottom.” The moment captured the attention of social media users, with many praising the international DJ for taking time to mentor the young talent and uplift the next generation.

Despite being visually impaired, Mpilo has not allowed his condition to limit his dreams. According to his Instagram profile, he is already accepting bookings to perform at various venues, with arrangements handled through his mother, Phumeza Mdabe. He specialises in Afro Tech and has made it clear that he wants to use music to make a positive impact.

“I am visually impaired, here to change the world for the better! Afrotech DJ,” reads Mpilo’s inspiring bio.

Mzansi has expressed pride in how far Mpilo has come and remains hopeful that he will excel in the music industry, especially with a mentor like Black Coffee in his corner. Many see the moment as a powerful reminder that talent, determination, and the right support can break any barrier.
