IPHC Bishop Sandlana Accused of Faking Wife’s Death & Inherits Her Wealth; Wife Discovers Her Own Death Certificate

In a shocking turn of events, an IPHC bishop, Michael Sandlana, has been accused of faking his own wife’s death in order to inherit her wealth.
The bishop, who leads a faction of the International Pentecost Holiness Church, now faces a fraud case filed by his estranged wife, Magalane Benedicta Sandlana. The case came to light when Magalane discovered that she had been declared dead, leading to her bank freezing her account and presenting her with her own death certificate.
Magalane, 29 years old, reported the fraud to the Sandton police after her attempts to make transactions from her bank account were met with difficulties.
To her surprise, she learned that her account had been closed because she was declared deceased.
Seeking answers, Magalane visited the Department of Home Affairs in Johannesburg, where she was provided with a copy of her death certificate. The certificate stated that she had died from natural causes on March 16.
Further investigation revealed that an application for notice of death and executorship had been made in Michael Sandlana’s name.
The documents included the couple’s marriage certificate, the fraudulent death certificate, an inventory of properties, and other supporting paperwork. The estate file indicated that Sandlana would inherit properties valued at almost R1.5 million.
Magalane, who has been married to Sandlana since 2017, expressed her shock and disbelief. She wants justice and is determined to regain control of her life.
The fraud case is currently being investigated by the police, and no arrests have been made thus far.
This distressing incident has left Magalane facing severe consequences. With her bank accounts frozen, she is unable to access her own money and relies on the support of family and friends for financial assistance.
Moreover, her plans to further her education have been disrupted, as she is unable to register at the University of South Africa (Unisa) due to her declared deceased status.
Magalane’s lawyer has reached out to Sandlana’s legal representative, the Department of Home Affairs, and the master of the high court, seeking clarity on the application made while Magalane is still alive. The Department of Home Affairs has urged Magalane to report the matter promptly for investigation and resolution.
The shocking case of IPHC Bishop Sandlana faking his wife’s death and inheriting her wealth has left many questioning the integrity and ethics of those in positions of power.
