Wiseman Mncube Addresses Rumours He Impregnated Another Woman. Former My Brother’s Keeper actor Wiseman Mncube has broken his silence after rumours claiming he impregnated another woman erupted across social media, sparking intense debate and widespread speculation throughout the weekend.
Mncube, a multi-award-winning performer and one of South Africa’s most recognisable television stars, addressed the claims in a short video posted to his Instagram Story. His response came just hours after screenshots allegedly showing a young woman telling him she was pregnant began circulating online, igniting a frenzy on TikTok, X and Instagram.
The timing of the scandal amplified the shock. Only two months ago, in September 2025, the actor surprised fans when images from his private wedding to Nokubonga Ngobeni were leaked, revealing a ceremony that few even knew had taken place. His transition from private family man to trending headline has now become a talking point across the country.
The pregnancy allegations started when the social media blog @SAGossipLabInsiderr posted the viral screenshots late Friday night. The images appeared to show a woman messaging Mncube, claiming to be pregnant with his child. The alleged responses, attributed to Mncube, showed him denying involvement — a set of exchanges that quickly split public opinion between those who believed the screenshots and those who suspected fabrication.
By Saturday morning, speculation had intensified. Some users accused Mncube of infidelity, while others questioned the authenticity of the screenshots, noting glaring inconsistencies in tone and formatting. Conversations stretched into every corner of South African social media, from celebrity gossip pages to mainstream entertainment platforms.
Facing mounting pressure, Mncube released a video distancing himself from the claims. In the clip, he stated that the screenshots were entirely fabricated and created by an obsessed fan using AI-generated chat tools. He added that the woman behind the allegations had never met him and had been attempting to insert herself into his personal life for some time. His denial, however, did little to calm the digital storm.
The tension grew more pronounced as the conversation escalated — from humour to concern, from disbelief to defence. A recurring theme was mistrust: mistrust of celebrities, mistrust of AI, and mistrust of the screenshot culture that has become central to viral scandals.
As the weekend progressed, commentary evolved beyond the pregnancy rumours themselves. Some users drew comparisons to plotlines in films like Beyoncé’s Obsessed, while others argued that the entire saga deserved its own documentary. The public fascination was fuelled by two things: Mncube’s rising profile following his roles in Shaka iLembe and Uzalo, and the dramatic nature of the allegations.
Despite the growing noise, one fact remains clear — no verified evidence supporting the pregnancy claim has been presented, nor has the alleged woman come forward publicly with her identity. The screenshots that triggered the storm remain unverified, their origins uncertain.
