South African actress and singer Winnie Khumalo has passed away.
Winnie Khumalo, the legendary musician behind the hit song “Live My Life,” has tragically passed away at the age of 51. According to a family statement, Khumalo lost her life while being rushed to the hospital around 2 pm this afternoon and was declared dead.
Khumalo leaves behind a legacy in the music industry, as well as her daughter, Rethabile Khumalo, who is also a musician. Rethabile had a health scare last year when she was hospitalized due to food poisoning.
Winnie Khumalo’s music career spanned decades, with her debut album “Hey Laiti” released in 1988. She was also a backing vocalist for the legendary Brenda Fassie and later released her own album “Live My Life” which became a huge success
