Thabo Mkhabela (Leshole Mabitsela) gets promoted to Skeem Saam casting director. South African actor Thabo Mkhabela, who is popularly known for playing the role of Leshole Mabitsela on Skeem Saam has been promoted to casting director.

Skeem Saam Role

His role in Skeem Saam has made him famous due to his phenomenal acting skills. He plays the role of Leshole, an unlucky young man who struggles to make ends meet and has never had anything good come his way.He plays a very unlucky 19-year-old boy who never has anything good come his way. Surprisingly, Thabo is an actual lecturer who is contrary to his role as a student in Skeem Saam.

Personal Life

Thabo Mkhabela studied at the University of Limpopo, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also went further and attained his master’s degree, which enabled him to be a lecturer at the Tshwane University Of Technology.

Behind-the-Scenes

Mkhabela tells Sunday World that he has been working behind the scenes as a casting director. “It is breathtaking because I actually go find the people who fit the character or role written on the script,” he says. He took a break from the show at the end of season nine when his character joined the army to fulfil his dream job of being a pilot.
