Phumeza Shoba Reportedly Seeks Spousal and Child Support After Filing for Divorce.

Phumeza Shoba is reportedly seeking spousal and child support following her decision to file for divorce, according to sources close to the matter. The news has drawn public attention as details of the separation slowly emerge, though much of the case remains private.

It is understood that the application for support is intended to ensure financial stability for both herself and the children as the divorce process moves forward. Legal experts often note that such requests are common in divorce proceedings, particularly where children are involved, to safeguard their well-being and continuity of care.

The reported development has sparked discussion on social media, with many weighing in on issues of co-parenting, financial responsibility, and the emotional toll of divorce on families. Others have called for sensitivity and respect for privacy, emphasizing that divorce is a deeply personal matter best handled through legal channels rather than public debate.

At this stage, no official court outcome has been made public, and the matter is expected to proceed according to due legal process.

The actress, who recently celebrated her son’s international gig, has reportedly accused her husband of cheating. Sunday World reports that Phumeza and Mnqobi entered into an out-of-community-of-property-with-accrual agreement in 2014.

The publication also reported that the TV presenter is seeking R45,000 monthly spousal maintenance and R5,000 towards their partially blind son.

An insider adds that Phumeza contacted Mnqobi and tried to separate from him without involving lawyers after finding out that her husband had cheated on her. However, the musician, who is reportedly out of the country from April to October, did not cooperate.
