He may have had a taste of his glory days while playing in the Carling Cup earlier this month, but as it stands, Itumeleng Khune remains under suspension from Kaizer Chiefs.
However, that hasn’t deterred the veteran player from keeping himself busy. The 36-year-old has taken up TV sports presenting and appears to be loving his new gig!
Last month, Itumeleng was stripped of his captaincy and suspended from being found guilty of misconduct. According to reports, the Amakhosi goalkeeper allegedly arrived at training while intoxicated.
WHEN DOES SUSPENSION END?
In the statement, Kaizer Chiefs revealed the disciplinary action taken against Itumeleng Khune.
The suspended soccer star will have to “attend programmes” aimed at “helping him address challenges and issues he is facing.”
Part of it read: “These programmes are specifically aimed at helping him address challenges and issues he is facing, while promoting a positive team culture.”
NEW CHAPTER FOR ITU KHUNE?
Meanwhile, Khune is not letting idleness entertain him during his suspension. The father-of-two has been keeping up with his strict fitness and eating regime.
He’s also taken up TV presenting and has been seen offering his experienced analysis on SABC Sport during the AFCON tournament.

Over the past week, Khune has posted pics of himself on set.
“I’m truly honoured and humbled,” he captioned one post.
